Sinus Lift & Bone Grafting
Sinus augmentation and bone grafting with GBR techniques.
Over a prolonged period of time, patients with missing teeth experience atrophy and resorption of their jawbones and pneumatisation (expansion) of their maxillary sinuses, resulting in poor quality and quantity of bone necessary for restoration of the functionality with dental implants. When the sinus has expanded and destroyed the bone in the alveolar ridge (posterior upper jaw) the idea is to bring it back to its original position allowing us to place implants in this area. We peel back the gums, make a window in the side of the sinus, lift the membrane to a new position, fill the area with biocompatible bone substitutes, close it and wait for the bone to mature before placing the implant. To provide you with a better understanding of the procedures please watch the following presentation.

That gives us an opportunity to place implants of required length and width and predictably restore aesthetics and life style of our patients. At Wellness Dental Center doctors will evaluate your jawbones and X-rays and determine if any bone grafting or sinus lift procedures are necessary.
